I’m Desiree, a storyteller at heart, a mother, a wife, and someone who has learned that the most meaningful parts of life are often found in the in between.
This space was not created to be perfect.
It was created to be honest.
My Story
Some of what I share comes from the life we are living now.
Family, growth, the everyday moments that seem small but somehow stay with you.
And some of it comes from what I have walked through.
After losing my dad, I began to understand just how much words matter. Not the polished kind, but the ones spoken in passing, written in margins, or lived out over time.
Even when he could no longer speak, his voice never left me.
I found it in his journals, in the way he saw the world, and in the way he prepared me for life without ever saying that was what he was doing.
Looking back, I realize now he was not preparing me for comfort.
He was preparing me for life.
And somehow, even now, his words still find me right when I need them most.
This space became a place to hold that.
Not just his words, but the way they continue to shape mine.

What I Believe
I believe there is purpose in every season.
I believe the hard moments shape the most meaningful stories.
And I believe the words we leave behind matter more than we realize.

I’m married to my husband Roger, who brings so much of this vision to life in ways that often go unseen.
Our life is full in the best kind of way. Kids, grandbabies, road trips, and a constant learning of how to hold it all with intention.
We are building something rooted in faith, story, and connection.
Not just for where we are now, but for what we leave behind.
